The condo is located in Aci Catena, high on a hill overlooking both Acitrezza and Aci Castello on the Riveria di Ciclope (the Riveria of the Cyclops). It has a sweeping panoramic view of the Ionian Sea and both Acitrezza and Aci Castello. From the balcony (where you will spend a lot of your time) is perhaps one of Sicily's finest views. The condo is not a huge villa, rather it is a a suburban residential condominium. It has 2 levels.

On the first level you will find the kitchen featuring a nice sized table and 6 chairs, a gas stove, a refrigerator, and all the cooking utensils. There is a fully stocked bar there as well. The living room is also located on the first level, with a fold-out couch that is very very comfortable, a love seat, a television, lamps and an end table. The floors throughout the condo are tile. Also located on the first floor is a rest room with a toilet, a bidet, a shower, a sink, and the washing machine. The washing machine bed (matrimonial bed), a large armoire is tucked into a corner of a slanted ceiling, and you must take care not to bump your head!

Walking up to the second level on the stairway, you will find the guest room- The guest room contains a large double bed, an armoire side table. it has a balcony entrance that is spectacular. There is another room which contains a fold out couch, and another armoire. This room also has a balcony entrance. A third room on the second level contains the office and computer. There is a rest room on the second level with a double sink, a shower, a toilet and a bidet. There is also a small bathtub for a child, but it is too small for an adult. One additional bedroom is mine and is closed. This is located on the first floor.

The condo is ideal for a couple. A second couple will have to sleep on either of the two fold out couches. The fold out in the first floor living room is extremely comfortable and in the summertime I like to sleep on it, and I am a large man. This is a gated community, and you will be given a key for the automatic gate. In a pinch, it can be manually open. There are literally scores of outstanding restaurants within a 10 minute drive in either Acitrezaa or Acicastello, as well as many many 'lidos', which are bathing areas that you pay a fee to enter. If you like fish restaurants, you will be in heaven. You must have an automobile, preferably an automatic unless you are a skilled manual transmission driver. (There are many steep hills in this area, including Via Ulsiisse, where the condo is located. As I said, the condo is located on top of a steep bluff and hill driving is mandatory. That is why an automatic transmission is best.

The President Park Hotel is just down the street, as is a cafe, a bakery, a pizzeria, and a hairdresser. Larger markets are close by as well. The condo is located half way between Catania and Taormina, on the slope of Mt. Etna, which is clearly visible and dominates the area. Make sure you bring a camera. Some of the most spectacular vistas and sights are located here.

I will discount a second couple to $250 a week since one couple will have to sleep on a fold out. Still, hotels in the area range from $200 to $300 per night, so this is really a bargain. If you are interested in a longer stay, I will give an additional discount depending on the length of time. There is a telephone, but a $100 deposit will be required and will be refunded 60 days later once the phone bill comes in. The best thing to do (and the cheapest) is to purchase an international calling card for pennies per minute.
